LATEST NEWS: The IAC British International Amateur Film Competition 2011 – Best Club Film
We are pleased to announce that our movie “Montague Jack” has been awarded – Best Entry by an Affiliated Club and 4 Stars in the 2011 Annual Competition. This is the highest award that an amateur film club can receive in the UK. It would have been against competition from Film and Video Clubs not only here in the UK but from Europe and the rest of the World.
Judges comments included: “Enormous credit should be given to the makers of MONTAGUE JACK for their research, which takes a very different look at the story and succeeds at being original in a very crowded canon of films” in conclusion they said: ” The makers should be rightly proud of this epic and its contribution to one of the enduring mysteries of the past century. It is an extremely worthy winner of the best club film”
Our thanks to everyone involved in the production from Wimbornemoviemakers, Wimborne Drama, Canford School and all the other actors and helpers who made the production possible. The film was shown as part of the Premier Awards Show at the British International Amateur Film Festival.
